Good news! Yibin Nanxi District Zhizhi High School has been officially approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization and confirmed to be a candidate for the IBDP program. It can now provide IBDP international courses for Zhizhi students!

Yibin City Nanxi District Zhizhi High School is a Candidate School* for the IBDP program. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Yibin City Nanxi District Zhizhi High School believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP).  Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. Why can Zhizhi High School become an IB candidate school so quickly?

Generally speaking, it takes about 2-4 years or even 5 years for an IB school to apply and finally obtain authorization. Zhizhi High School has become a candidate school this year, which is amazing. We are very encouraged by the recognition of Zhizhi by the official IBO organization: the strong support and investment of the school board is needless to say, and our efforts in training and polishing the teaching staff in the early stage, and the continuous dedication of all members of the Zhizhi High School IBDP team, are obvious to all.

"School Purpose"

Zhizhi's leadership and teaching team are actively preparing to apply for becoming an IB certified school. Based on a full understanding of the IB educational philosophy, we have gradually polished out a school purpose and philosophy that is highly consistent with IB, guiding us step by step to become an IB certified school, and will also guide us to form a unique Zhizhi educational culture.

"Teacher Qualifications"

IBO attaches particular importance to the qualifications of teachers. Every teacher working in an IB school should agree and have an equal, open, diverse and enthusiastic attitude.

Therefore, Zhizhi is also particularly strict in selecting teachers. We value teachers' existing IB teaching experience, and we value their views and experiences on IB education philosophy and practice. After layers of screening, a group of teachers with enthusiasm for education and professional sentiments finally gathered at Zhizhi.

We do not stop there, but care more about the continuous polishing and improvement of teachers' professional qualities. After joining Zhizhi, teachers regularly participate in IB workshops and other activities, learn and communicate with IB trainers and peers, and achieve double transcendence of team and self.

"Teaching Planning"

Zhizhi not only focuses on the present, but also looks to the future. During the application process, we submitted a future action plan to the official IBO organization, which clearly sorted out the teaching plan for the next few years.

Long-term planning requires more daily accumulation. Teachers observe students every day, collect teaching feedback, actively reflect, and work together to prepare lessons under the coordination of teaching assistants and grade leaders.

Points converge into lines, and lines gather into surfaces. It is these efforts that are not always seen that finally converge into today's joy and brilliance. We are so lucky to have met, gathered together, known each other and cherished each other because of our common advanced educational concepts. We will also work hand in hand with you on this long road of education and continue to move forward firmly to create a better future for our children and each other.
